Privacy Policy

In short. The app collects no personal data, requires no sign-up, and contains no analytics or advertising. Your calculation history is stored only on your device and is never sent anywhere.

This document describes how data is handled in the Crypto Calculator mobile app and on the server that supplies it with currency rates.

What stays on your device

The app saves the following in its local database:

Chosen language and theme	So you do not have to choose them again on every launch

This data never leaves the device. It is not sent to us or to anyone else, and we have no access to it. The calculation history is erased with the “Clear” button on the converter screen; everything else is removed when the app is uninstalled.

What the server sees

The app contacts our server for rates. Like any connection on the internet, that request carries your device's IP address — without it there would be nowhere to send the reply.

What we do with it:

Successful requests are not recorded: the log only keeps errors, so that faults can be found.
Error records contain an IP address, a timestamp and the requested path. They are capped at 100 MB per service and are overwritten by newer ones — in practice, days rather than months.
The number of simultaneous connections from one address is limited. That is protection against overload, not observation of users.

We do not link IP addresses to calculations: the server does not know what you converted. Conversion happens on the device itself, and no request about it is sent.

What the app does not have

Registration or user accounts
Analytics or event tracking
Advertising or advertising identifiers
Third-party tracking libraries
Access to contacts, location, camera, files or notifications

The only permission the app requests on Android is INTERNET, network access. You can verify this in the permissions section of the app's store page.

Third parties

Rates come from the Binance and Kraken exchanges and from the European Central Bank. Our server contacts those sources, not your device: they are unaware of individual users of the app and receive no data about them from us.

The certificate for the secure connection is issued by Let's Encrypt. The app store you installed the app from operates under its own privacy policy, which we do not control.

Children

The app is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone, children included.

Your rights

We hold no personal data that could be disclosed, corrected or erased on request — we do not collect any. Everything related to your use of the app is on your device and under your control: clear the history in the app, remove the rest by uninstalling it.

Changes

If data handling changes, we will update this document and the date at the top of the page. Significant changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
